Davis House Renovation
Danville, Illinois
The Residence was designed by Architect Harold Young in 1960 for the Albert Saikley Family.
Sixty years later, we were hired to develop a three-phase improvement project of renovation and additions.
Phase one consists of installing insulated glass throughout the existing house, restoring and replicating the Mutschler Series M700 kitchen cabinet system, installing new LED accent lighting, replacing the wall-to-wall carpet with hardwood, and playfully updating the mid-century styling of the bathrooms. Phase two will convert the 2-car garage into a Master Bedroom Suite. Phase three will create a new garage and office spaces to the west, linked to the original house with a glass enclosed corridor.
Commissioned Project: 2020
Phase One Completed: 2022
